What was the best piece of advice you received?
Be patient and don’t make rash decisions. We listed our house in November 2018. The DC area home market was behaving oddly with rapidly increasing interest rates and geopolitical turmoil. We considered delisting the house and waiting for the spring. They encouraged us to stay the course.
What most surprised you?
The Lauren Davis team helped us get full asking price despite the uncertain housing market and winter listing. They did a terrific job!
How would you describe the process of working with the team?
From our first engagement through to the very end, the team was extremely professional, communicative, transparent and hard working. They openly shared constructive feedback about the house and the process so we could quickly address issues, maximize the value of the home and shorten the selling process. They provided weekly, written updates with quantifiable metrics (e.g. number of people who visited the house and each of their feedback; number of hits on Zillow and other social media) along with suggestions to optimize the process. They communicated often and well.
