It was a pleasure to host this impressive crowd of Realtors in our beautiful listing, 5211 Hampden Lane, for an informative presentation by Dr. Jessica Lautz of the National Association of Realtors on “The Future of Real Estate.” A few findings that stood out to me were – there is a rise in the number of unmarried people buying homes, the number of homes with children under the age of 18 is at an all time low, buyers are increasingly concerned about amenities for their pets, people are staying in their homes for a longer period of time (on average 9-10 years), and lastly, real estate agents are involved in roughly 90% of residential sales.
