Where we refuel, motivate, eat and relax ….

We all have busy lives and need time to recharge. We thought we would share some of the ways we treat ourselves, maybe you will be inspired to carve out some time to yourself as well.

Where to refuel?
Whenever I am feeling a little tired, I grab a Lumi Juice. My go to is a “Gold Rush” shot and a 10 oz “Upbeet Pear.” The founder of the company is a close friend and her juice is carried at local businesses throughout D.C. (Bethesda Bagel)

Where to get motivated?
I love a good spin class to start my day. Instructors Teryn and Sasha at the Zengo studio always energize me with the best playlists.

Where to grab a bite to eat?
The veggie burger at Woodmont Grill is perfection.

Where to relax?
Varnish Lane is how I picture heaven. The decor, by Lauren Liess, is simply beautiful and the waterless pedicures are a dream.

Where to refuel?
I love an iced cold brew from Quartermaine’s – it gives me a mid-morning jolt. And it doesn’t hurt that I always bump into a friendly face there.

Where to get motivated?
Pilates class at PureRyde with Spencer. He pushes me to my limit and then some. I know that I can always get better.

Where to grab a bite to eat?
Cornucopia is a fabulous Italian market in Bethesda. He makes the world’s best Caprese sandwich. Secret ingredient? Amazing balsamic vinegar he sells in store.

Where to relax?
Delray Beach, FL. A beautiful, fun, & vibrant town. The beaches are stunning, there is a rich arts scene and the restaurants are amazing. I also always try to schedule a massage at The Seagate Hotel & Spa.

Where to refuel?
Drybar! When I walk out of dry bar with a fresh blow out, I feel great. Feeling put together helps me stay upbeat and refreshed!

Where to get motivated?
Tennis! There is nothing I like better than some ‘friendly’ competition on the tennis court. I enjoy being outside, exercising and catching up with friends between points.

Where to grab a bite to eat?
Our family loves to go to Medium Rare for all of our family celebrations. The food is delicious – the deserts are decadent and it is a great no-fuss place to get steak.

Where to relax?
Bravo TV! I am shamelessly addicted to relaxing with a glass of wine and watching bad tv. #sorrynotsorry

Where to refuel?
My afternoon treat at a Starbucks!

Where to get motivated?
I like to walk or jog in Rock Creek Park in downtown D.C. near the monuments or on any nearby paths. Just give me some tunes to blast through my earplugs and I am good to go.

Where to grab a bite to eat?
Pretty much anything Italian is great, but grabbing some VACE lasagna after a Sunday Open is always my favorite.

Where to relax?
My wife Mary and I share a cup of coffee at home every morning. It’s the quiet moment I need before I start my busy day.
